Idea

The MedTech Student Science Club of the Medical University of Silesia was founded in 2023 on the initiative of Michał Azierski and Przemysław Jędrusik . Already in the initial phase, it attracted over 150 students, becoming one of the most active science clubs at the university. The club operates at the Center for Distance Learning and Analysis of Educational Effects and brings together students fascinated by modern technologies in medicine.

Educational events

Od momentu powstania zorganizowaliśmy liczne warsztaty i webinary, w tym serię 5 spotkań z podstaw statystyki, otwarte warsztaty VR oraz webinary „Zrozumieć AI”.

Warsztaty „Moje Własne AI” pozwoliły uczestnikom zgłębić tajniki sztucznej inteligencji i samodzielnie tworzyć algorytmy, natomiast szkolenie URPM przygotowało studentów do pracy z systemem URPM.

Promotional activities

We conduct extensive popularization activities – we organize classes for high school students as part of KatoScienceCorner, the Road2SUM program, and specialized workshops for students of the V LO in Krakow. We actively promote the university at events such as the Silesian Science Festival and the SISC and ESOF 2024 conferences.

Konferencje i publikacje

The group organized the 1st Silesian Surgical Conference, which gathered over 500 participants. Our members also participate in numerous conferences, such as the Winter Case Cup and SIMC 2024.

To date, we have published over a dozen scientific articles (total impact factor 3.9) and look forward to publishing more.
